Making Money in the Holidays

In this article I’d like to discuss the topic of making money during the holidays. As self-employed teachers, it can be challenging to navigate the holiday period when we aren't paid for time off. However, with some careful planning and strategic decisions, we can bring in additional income during this time.

Firstly, I’d like to explore the importance of planning for the new term in advance. By booking rooms and planning dates ahead of time, we can ensure a smooth start to the upcoming year and attract more students.

There are various strategies to make money during the holidays

One-to-one classes with special summer prices or promoting intensive conversation sessions focused on fluency.

Collaboration - there are also potential benefits of collaborating with other tutors. Building strong relationships with other tutors can open up opportunities for referral and shared learners.

Summer Challenges – providing work to learners over the summer period. Work that challenges and helps the learners progress in their learning.

One off classes – stand-alone grammar classes can be a great way to help your learners and also to bring in some ££ over the holidays.

Affiliate marketing and the potential to earn extra income through promoting products to our learners is also another way of earning (and not just through the holidays). This can be a mutually beneficial arrangement, providing helpful recommendations to learners while earning some extra money.
