Introducing you to our Resource Centre of worksheets
I am passionate about ensuring that I use high quality resources with my learners that include activities grounded in sound methodology – which is why I am such a huge fan of Dr. Gianfranco Conti - read our blog about that here.
Last year, the Resource Centre was launched where there are now over 1000 pages of activities and 50 authentic recordings. These are available for members to download, print and take straight into their classroom. Each and every worksheet has been developed with students in mind - and used not only with my adult learners but with my GCSE and A level tutees.
I thought it would be a good idea to take you on a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the Resource Centre to give you a flavour of what is on offer.
You will also see that they are not just one page long!
Many of the resources can be used over 1 to 3 lessons with a wide range of activities included. Finally, you will see the strong influence of Conti and Smith upon the types of activities and the focus on modelling and comprehensible input to maximise learner success.
Please click here to see the video tour - don’t worry it’s not too long, and gives you a highlight of the resources available.
An aspect that I am particularly proud of is the work I have done with my lovely French associates to add audio recordings to many of the resources. They make the listening activities as authentic as possible – and add variety to the speakers your learners hear. They also give you a break from reading out loud.
One of the main drivers for setting up the Resource Centre was to try to ease other teachers’ planning loads. I know this is often huge. I too have spent hours and hours planning and prepping and I hope wholeheartedly that our resources can save you some precious time.
If you have any questions about the resources then please do not hesitate to contact me – I reply to every message that I receive and I love hearing from you.
